Polar Bear
70% of polar bear cubs survive there first year
The polar bear is the largest bear in the world
It is one of the top predators
They can grow up to 2.5 meters long
They can weigh up to 800kg
They have adapted to live in the freezing conditions of the artic, have a thick layer of fat for warmth, have dense fur for inculcation, small ears to reduce heat loss, large feet to help walk on ice and snow
Can run 30mph
Long distance swimmers (large paws help)

GREEN SEA TURTLES
There are 7 distinct species of sea turtles (6 of which are threatened)
Only 1 out of 1000 marine turtles make it to an adult this is because of predators and plastic

BLUE WHALE
The artic blue whale is the largest animal on earth
Whales are warm blooded animals
Whales, dolphins and porpoises are known as cetaceans. There are 14 baleen whale species, 3 sperm whales, 22 beaked whales, 2 monodontids (narwhal and beluga), 38 oceanic dolphins, 4 river dolphins and 7 porpoises. The number of species recorded in the world has increased as modern genetic techniques reveal differences that previously were not easy to detect.
